UPSC set to release CSE Mains admit cards shortly

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the admit cards soon for UPSC CSE Mains on the official website. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 20, 21, 22, 28 and 29, 2024. The prelims exam was held on June 16 and the results were declared on July 1, 2024, with 14,627 candidates cleared the UPSC CSE Prelims exam.

Steps to download the result

Step 1:  Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in

Step 2: Click on UPSC Civil Services Mains Admit Card 2024 link visible on the homepage

Step 3: Enter the login credentials

Step 4: Your admit card will be displayed on the screen

Step 5: Take a print out of the admit card for future reference

The examination shall be conducted in two shifts, first from 9 to 12 noon and second shift from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The UPSC CSE Mains will offer various Indian Languages option for (Paper-A) such as Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, kannada and others. For optional subjects (Paper-Vl & Paper- Vll) will comprise Agriculture, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, History, Political Science and more.

Individuals who passed the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 are eligible to appear for UPSC CSE Mains 2024. The prelims exam was held on June 16 and the results were declared on July 1, 2024, with 14,627 candidates cleared the UPSC CSE Prelims exam. This year UPSC aims to fill 1,056 positions including 40 spots reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

The UPSC Mains will start with the essay paper on September 20, 2024. Followed by General Studies Paper I and II on September 221 and III and IV on September 22,2024. The Indian language and English paper are scheduled for September 28 while the optional papers on September 29, 2024.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to conduct the recruitment exams to fill total of 1,056 vacancies. This will include Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS) and India Foreign Service (IFS). Candidates can visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in to know more information.
