UPSC ESE exams date postponed

The Union Public Service Commission has postponed the UPSC ESE and the Engineering Services Preliminary and mains examination. The ESE preliminary exam will take place on June 8, 2025 and the ESE mains examination will be held on August 10, 2025. Applicants who wish to apply for Engineering Services Examination 2025 and haven't applied till yet can do the same via the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in till November 22, 2024.

Steps to register for UPSC ESE

Step 1: Visit the official website at upsc.gov.in

Step 2: Locate the highlighted link of the UPSC ESE registrations on the homepage 

Step 3: Full in the details and then login in to your account through User ID and password 

Step 4: Complete the application form and pay the fee 

Step 5: Review and submit the form 

Step 6: Save the form for future reference 

Previously the ESE prelims exam was scheduled for February 2 and the mains exam was scheduled for June 22, 2025.

The modification window will be reopened on November 23 till November 29, 2024. The forthcoming recruitment drive aims to fill around 232 vacancies, with 12 reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) comprising 7 spots for those with Locomotor Disability, Acid Attacks victims and Muscular Dystrophy and 5 vacancies for Hard of Hearing.

The age limit of if the applicant shall be between 21 and 30 as on January 1, 2025, which is the candidates should be no earlier than January 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 232 posts on this organisation. The application fee for all the students is Rs 200. The fee is exempted for female/SC/ST/PwBD students.

The ESE preliminary exam will take place on June 8, 2025 and the ESE mains examination will be held on August 10, 2025.
