The UPSC's recruitment drive intends to fill 506 Assistant Commandant vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Candidates who applied for UPSC CAPF 2024 can view the exam schedule on the commission's official websites, upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the exam dates for Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). According to the official schedule, the examination will be held on August 4, 2024. The exam will be divided into two shifts: paper I (general ability and intellect) from 10 a.m. to noon, and paper II (general studies, essay) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Selection Phase

UPSC CAPF recruitment exam has two papers. The candidates' performance in each round will be considered for selecting the final exam. To be considered for Assistant Commandant, candidates must go through the following phases:

The Commission will set minimum qualifying marks separately for each Paper at its discretion. Paper-I will be examined first, and Paper-II will only be evaluated for those candidates who acquire the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I."

To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet the UPSC CAPF physical eligibility norms. Furthermore, to apply for the exam, candidates must be at least 20 years old and no older than 25 years old on August 1, 2024.

The upper age limit will be adjusted in accordance with state regulations. They must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
