The Uttar Pradesh government's Social Welfare Department has launched pre- and post-matric scholarships for the 2024–2025 school year at scholarship.up.gov.in. Since July, the scholarship application has been available, and it will close on December 31.
By going to the aforementioned website, interested students who fit the requirements can complete the online application. Students should be aware that applications will be accepted on the official website of the Minority Welfare Department from minority backward classes, such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jainites, and Parsis.

What is the scholarship's possibility for renewal?
It is intended for students who received scholarships the previous academic year and wish to reapply for the 24–25 academic session. Students will need to re-register using their login credentials, regardless of whether they are applying for a new application or renewing an existing one.
Eligibility criteria
For a general, OBC, or minority student, the household's incomes should be Rs 2 lakh, however for a SC or ST student, they should be Rs 2.5 lakh.
The applicant must have passed the most recent test for which they registered.
The student should receive an Aadhaar card and a valid caste certificate from a responsible authority.
Application process
The application process consists of several steps, including registration, Aadhaar authentication, form submission, institute verification, student vetting by the district welfare committee, and finally, Aadaar-based authentication for the distribution of funds.
Candidates need to remember that there is no application fee required of them by the UP government in the process of completion the scholarship form.
