The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalized during the inauguration of the "Vishwa Vaidika Vignana Sammelanam," a global Vedic science conference held in Tirupati. The event was organized jointly by SVVU and the Indian Knowledge Systems Division of the Union Ministry of Education, underscoring a collective effort to promote the integration of traditional Vedic knowledge with modern scientific disciplines.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy highlighted the universal truths encapsulated in the Vedas and emphasized the importance of linking these ancient texts with contemporary scientific knowledge. He pointed out that such integration could lead to the development of new sustainable methodologies beneficial for future generations. Reddy cited the example of combining scientific and dharmic approaches during the successful management of the Vaikunta Dwaram at the Tirumala temple, which facilitated the darshan of 7-8 lakh devotees.

Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Vice-Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, stressed that Vedic sciences aim at sustainable development, achievable through "Akhanda Vidya" or comprehensive knowledge derived from Vedic studies. Renowned Sanskrit scholar Prof. Kutumba Sastri elaborated on how scientific rituals in Vedic practices, such as "Yagna Karmas," have sustainable applications.

Furthermore, IIT Tirupati's Director, Prof. K.N. Satyanarayana, announced a collaborative effort between IIT Tirupati and SVVU to disseminate Vedic knowledge through the Universal Vedic Science Association. This collaboration is expected to enhance the reach and impact of Vedic education, making it accessible to a broader audience and integrating it with mainstream scientific research.

The TTD has also been proactive in seeking national recognition for SVVU. TTD Chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy appealed to the Union Minister of Education to upgrade SVVU to a central university, similar to the status granted to other Sanskrit universities. This upgrade would further support the propagation of Vedic studies and ensure sustained financial and administrative backing for the university's initiatives. Additionally, Reddy requested an increase in the quota for Telugu, Tamil, and Sanskrit courses at the TTD-managed Sri Venkateswara College in Delhi.

The MoU between the Union Ministry of Education and SVVU marks a strategic step towards blending the rich heritage of Vedic knowledge with modern education and research, aiming to create a sustainable and inclusive educational framework for the future.
