NEET UG Result 2024: Exams.nta.ac.in/NEET, the official website, will host the updated merit list and results of the NEET UG 2024.
The updated NEET UG 2024 merit list and results will be made public by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The updated merit list scorecard link will be available on the official NEET UG exams website, nta.ac.in/NEET/. The Supreme Court decided on Tuesday that the compensatory marks provided to a certain group of students for a Physics question be taken back, leading to a revision of the results and the toppers' list.
A few students received additional marks after the NTA previously agreed to give them credit for correcting an answer that they had marked incorrectly due to a misprint in their previous Class 12 NCERT science textbook. But on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled that there would only be one correct response, and that anyone who answered otherwise would not be graded for it.
As a result, the 44 applicants who had leaped to an All India Rank (AIR) of 1 when their score increased to 720/720 would now receive a -5 mark and will no longer be considered the top scorers.
Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan informed reporters that the NTA would announce a new merit list in two days following the Supreme Court's decision.
When the results were revealed on June 4, 67 individuals were named AIR 1, drawing attention to NEET UG 2024. In addition, 13,31,321 female candidates and 9,96,393 male candidates registered for the exam that was held on May 5. The exam was taken by 17 transgender candidates in total.
