The NEET PG test date will be released this week, not today: NBE

According to a senior official from the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the new exam date for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for postgraduate courses (NEET PG) 2024 would be released this week rather than on July 2.

According to NBE sources, the NBE is awaiting clearance on a strategy that has been discussed with the Center. When administering a test as significant as the NEET PG, logistics must be carefully considered.

Therefore, we are unable to release the exam dates until we have spoken with and received approval from TCS, our logistics partner, and the government," the person said.

Less than 12 hours before the exam was supposed to take place on June 22, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG) was postponed by the NBE. The exam could now take place in August.

NBE had explained to indianexpress.com in a previous report that "there were no reports of a paper leak or any other kind of such issue."

Because the "Ministry wanted to check the robustness of the exam process, and we wanted to be sure that there is no vulnerability in this process," the exam was canceled, according to the NBE.

At a time when NTA exam cancellations had alarmed Indian students, the NBE Chief noted, the Ministry wished to make sure that miscreants did not exploit the students' vulnerabilities.
