The School of Vocational Education and Training (SOVET) of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the opening of the Bachelor of Arts in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (BAMSME) program. Candidates who want to choose this program can apply at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, which is the official IGNOU website. The application period is currently open for the July 2024 session.
The BAMSME initiative was introduced with the goal of assisting those who have finished their 10+2 education. The goal of this program is to give students the information and abilities they need to launch and run their own businesses.
A larger audience will be able to attend the BAMSME program since it will be made available through open and distance learning (ODL). With a minimum of three years spread over six semesters and a maximum of six years, the curriculum is meant to be flexible. With 20 credits each semester, the students will earn 120 credits in total. The program fee is Rs 5,100 per year, or Rs 15,300 for the full three-year degree, and the medium of instruction is English.
The program's main goals, according to an IGNOU statement, are to improve managerial abilities, support the lucrative and successful running of business businesses, and offer a cutting-edge, competency-based approach to entrepreneurship education. In addition to covering important business topics like marketing and finance, the curriculum will work to cultivate the kind of leadership that is necessary for one's own and others' empowerment.
