SSC to close the registrations for GD constable exam

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will end the registrations today, October 14, 2024. The examination will be held for the posts of constables (General Duty) in Central Armed Forces (CAPs), Special Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Steps to register for the recruitment

Step 1: Visit the official website at ssc.gov.in

Step 2: Select ‘Register Now’ on the homepage

Step 3: Enter your login credentials

Step 4: Click on Apply and select GD Constable test

Step 5: Fill out the application form

Step 6: Upload the necessary documents and pay the fee

Step 7: Review and submit the form

Step 8: Save the form for future reference

The exam paper will be purely objective type carrying 80 questions worth two marks each, with the duration of 60 minutes. The eligibility criteria for constable position, the candidate must have passed the Matriculation Examination and the age of the candidate should be between 18 and 23 to be eligible for these roles.

Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs 100 for this exam. Women, SC, ST candidates, and ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted for paying the application fee.

The selection procedure for the SSC GD constable exam 2025 would comprise several stages. Candidates must pass the written examination, then undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standard Test (PST). Upon successfully passing the above stages, candidates will process to document verification and a medical examination to verify their qualifications.
