Sainik schools can empower students , know what Rajnath Singh says

On September 23,2024 , Monday the defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that Sanik Schools will offer renewed momentum in guiding society and inculcating values such as discipline, patriotism and courage in students .He made the statement at the inauguration ceremony of Shri Bhawani Niketan Sanik School, situated in Jaipur. He also planted a sapling at the newly established school.

Rajnath Singh says "Sainik schools don't just give bookish knowledge to students but also try to inculcate commitment towards values in them. Sainik schools instil values like discipline, patriotism and courage in their students,"

"The all-round development of the students' personalities due to these values naturally inspires them to take the country forward," the defence minister was quoted as mentioned by news agency PTI.

In addition, he also tweeted about his experience and insight on X, a social media platform. He wrote “This school will provide patriotic youth with proper guidance to join the Armed Forces & serve the motherland. Sainik schools impart academic knowledge and inculcate the values of discipline, patriotism & courage for holistic development of youth.”

The defence minister laid emphasis on how Sanik Schools will play significant role in providing a fresh momentum to efforts aiming at guiding society through national education policy (NEP).

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore graced the event along with the defence minister. In the previous year, the Union Government approved the establishment of 100 Sanik Schools in partnership with NGOs, private schools and state governments, beginning from class 6 and expanding gradually.

Sainik Schools Society (SSS) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.These Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). At present there are a total of 33 Sainik Schools across the country.The Schools offer admission at the level of Class VI and Class IX. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).
