RSS-Affiliated Body Urges Reconsideration of CUET UG, PG Exam System

The Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, an affiliate of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has urged the National Testing Agency (NTA) to reconsider the CUET UG and PG examination system, addressing concerns about question paper standards, conduct issues, and student challenges. Devendra Singh, the national coordinator of the trust, emphasized the need for continuous feedback mechanisms involving teachers, parents, and students to enhance the CUET's overall quality.

Singh highlighted the necessity for institutions conducting the exam to reflect on their ability to provide accurate answers despite available resources. He advocated for the involvement of scholars and dedicated professors in formulating CUET questions to improve the examination process.

The statement follows the release of CUET UG answer keys by NTA, which faced criticism from candidates citing errors. NTA has announced retests for CUET-UG candidates from July 15 to 19 if valid grievances are identified regarding the exam conduct.

Singh also pointed out widespread issues with faulty answer keys in exams conducted by bodies like the Union Public Service Commission and state Staff Selection Commissions. He recommended the inclusion of learned academicians and professors in the entrance exam process and suggested eliminating outdated standards to align with contemporary examination norms. Additionally, he urged the government to periodically review the examination system with input from scholars.
