The UGC NET June examination was held from August 21 to September 4, 2024. It was organized in two shifts, the first shift started from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Raw marks secured by candidates across different shifts shall be converted to percentile based NTA scores.

For multi shift subject papers, NTA scores are calculated from raw marks and then combined across shifts/sessions for allocation decisions.
In case of differing percentiles across shifts, the lowest percentile determines eligibility for all candidates.
The UGC NET is held twice a year, in online mode. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. It consists of two papers: Paper 1, which is worth 100 marks and includes 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and paper 2, which is around 200 marks and includes 100 MCQs. The correct answer gets the candidate 2 marks however there is no negative marking for the incorrect answer.
