NEET-UG updated list: Mridul Anand earns rank one; topper count reduces to 17
In accordance with orders from the Supreme Court, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the NEET Re-Revised Result 2024 on July 26. There are now 17 toppers on the revised merit list, down from 61, with Mridul M. Anand emerging as the new all-India rank 1.
On July 26, 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET Re-Revised Result 2024. Exam results are available for download at exams.nta.ac.in, the official website for those who took the test.
Using their application number, birth date, and other information on the login website, all test takers can download their scorecards.
Following the Supreme Court's order, the outcome was announced. The agency published the final answer keys and a list of the top 100 candidates on their official website along with the results.
The number of toppers on the revised merit list for NEET-UG 2024 has dropped from 61 to 17 as a result of the National Testing Agency's (NTA) recalculation of results, which the Supreme Court required.
The OBC-NCL category's Mridul Manya Anand has emerged as the new all-India topper, taking the top spot from Ved S Shende. With a perfect score of 720, Anand, who was rated third initially, is now at the top of the list, while Shende, who was previously ranked 25th, has had his score changed to 715.
EXTENSIVE SCOR DISTRIBUTION
Seventeen candidates received a perfect score of 720/720 on the revised list, six received a score of 716, and the other received a score of 715.
The 17 toppers are divided into the following states: Bihar, Punjab, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, three Maharashtra states, four Rajasthan states, and two Maharashtra states.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CUT-OFF MARKS
The NEET-UG cut-off marks for each category have also been slightly adjusted as a result of the recalculated results. The range for the general category has been lowered from 720-164 to 720-162.
The range for the SC/ST/OBC categories has been modified from 163-129 to 161-127. While the number of qualifiers in the OBC and SC categories has marginally grown to 34,420 and 100,876, respectively, the number of qualifiers in the general category has declined to 1,165,334 from 1,165,904.
