To address grievances and representations regarding NEET (UG) 2024, the NTA meticulously analyzed CCTV footage and reports from exam officials, ensuring exam integrity was preserved. Consequently, 1,563 candidates who lost time during the exam were compensated, with mark corrections ranging from -20 to 720 marks.
Held on May 5, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:20 P.M. (IST), NEET (UG) - 2024 was conducted by the NTA at 4,750 centers across 571 cities, including 14 international locations, accommodating over 24 lakh candidates.
The NTA faced 13,373 challenges to a provisional answer key for a physics question, leading to the acceptance of two correct answers due to textbook discrepancies. Among the 67 candidates who achieved a perfect score of 720, some benefited from the revised answer key, while others received compensation for lost time. Results were announced within 30 days, reflecting the NTA’s dedication to transparency. The agency also took strict actions against unfair practices, reported no paper leaks, and cooperated with police investigations.
