NEET PG 2024: Last Chance for Indian Students to Switch to NRI Category

The National Eligibility Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) counseling application period for 2024 has been reopened by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). However, only postgraduate medical students who want to switch from Indian to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) nationality are eligible for this timeframe.

Information regarding the application period may be found on the official NEET PG website, mcc.nic.in. From November 1 from 5 p.m. to November 2 at 5 p.m., the window is open. Candidates must email nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com with supporting documentation for their claim to change their nationality from Indian to NRI in order to accomplish the change.

Required Documents
- Documents (the sponsor's passport and visa) attesting to the sponsor's status as an NRI.
- An NRI's relationship with the candidate in accordance with the rulings of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Ans. Vs. Union of India & Ors., case W.P.(c) No. 689/2017, dated August 22, 2017.
- The sponsor's notarized affidavit stating that they will cover the candidate's full course price.
- Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (a certificate issued within the last six months by the Consulate).
-The applicant's NEET score card.
-A notarized family tree by the Tehsildar

It is recommended that all certificates be sent in English. A copy of the certificate's English translation should be sent if it is in a regional tongue.

It is also recommended that candidates transmit all enclosed documents in a single email within the allotted time. It is not necessary for candidates who previously submitted their NRI documents and were converted to NRI status (please consult the list of qualified candidates posted on the MCC website) to submit their documents again.
