The counselling involves various steps, including online registration, fee, choice preference, locking choices, seat allotment results and physical reporting at the college. Applicants who are interested can participate in this process by registering themselves on the official website of MCC once the dates are issued.
Online registration- To register for NEET PG counselling, candidates must enter their email ID and mobile number to complete the application form and submit it.
Choice declaration- Further, candidates shall select the colleges as per their course and preferences.
Locking choices- Once the choices are selected, save them after reviewing and lock the choices before the deadline. Once the deadline has passed, no candidate will be allowed to change their choices.
Automatic locking- The system will automatic lock the last final modification was done in the choices before deadline.
The NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) across 416 centres in 170 cities on August 11 and the results were announced on August 23, 2024. The exam saw maximum participation of approx. 2.28 lakh candidates.
The exam was conducted in two shifts to ensure the section of high quality and reliable centres, according to an official release. For smooth and safe conduct of NEET PG, NBEMS had set up a central command centre at its Dwarka office.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023, which define the criteria for being eligible for NEET PG counselling. These regulations require a 50th percentile for General/EWS, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC, and 45th percentile for UR PwD. Cut-offs for these percentiles will be announced with the results.
