The University of Mumbai has rescheduled several online and distance learning course exams in light of the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The statement from Mumbai University on October 18 stated that all of the exams that were supposed to take place on November 19 and 20 have been postponed and will now take place on different days.
In its statement, the University also disclosed the dates of the new exams. As of right moment, all of the November 19 exams will take place on November 30 instead of November 20, and the November 20 exams on December 7 instead of November 20. The examination will still take place at the same time and place.
The University has also extended the deadline for UG and PG students to apply to online and remote courses. Additionally, until October 30, there is still time to apply for MMS course enrollment in the first year. In addition, there has been an extension to the admissions procedure for the first and second sessions of the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.
Furthermore, the State Government said that the Maharashtra State Skills University (MSSU) would bear Ratan Tata's name in memory of the late industrialist who passed away on October 9. This occurs a few days after the Maharashtra Cabinet approved a resolution asking the Centre to grant Ratan Tata the Bharat Ratna, the nation's highest civilian honor.
Industrialist 'Ratan Tata' contributed immensely to India’s industrial growth. He encouraged the establishment of new systems, stimulated innovation, and not just produced jobs. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Apoorva Palkar of MSSU stated, "The varsity's vision greatly aligns with the legendary Ratan Tataji."
The University of Mumbai's exam rescheduling and extended deadlines ensure that students can complete their courses without disruption, while the tribute to Ratan Tata honors his lasting impact on India's development.
