MCC NEET UG 2024 : Seat Allotment Results Expected on August 23

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) counseling round-1 choice-locking window was opened by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on August 21. The official website to lock the choices is mcc.nic.in. The deadline to complete the options was also extended by MCC. MCC has also extended the deadline of filling the choices. Students will be able to fill the choices by August 21 (11:59 pm).

Students who had registered for NEET UG 2024 first phase of counselling and have filled the choices were able to lock choices by August 21 (11:55 pm). The facility for choice locking was opened at
5 pm on August 21.

The choice locking facility was scheduled to open on August 20 at 4 pm and close at 11:55 p.m. On August 20, the choice filling window was scheduled to close. The MCC has recommended that medical applicants use the "Sandes" app in order to stay informed about NEET UG counseling.

Prior to the window being locked, the choices made throughout the choice-filling process can be changed. The MCC stated that locking the choices and obtaining a print of the options that were submitted are essential during the choice locking period. If the students fail to lock the choices submitted by them, it will automatically lock as per the schedule. The Counselling Committee stated, once choices are locked, they cannot be unlocked even from MCC. The MCC has instructed the students to be careful while locking the options.

"Check the submitted choices before locking them, as once you do, they cannot be corrected and changed even if you made a mistake. It can lead to the allotment of seat that you never wanted," the MCC NEET UG information brochure said.

The result of round 1 seat allotment will be announced on August 23. Students will have to report to their allotted institutions between August 24 and 29.
