During a happiness programme conducted in Patparganja, the senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Manish Sisodia interacted with government school teachers of Delhi. During his interaction on Wednesday, September 18,2024 he highlighted India's rich heritage as the birthplace of meditation. He urged that one must take pride in their legacy.

The former Deputy Chief Minister's remarks were then shared in an official statement, laying emphasis on the role of meditation in enhancing well-being among students and teachers alike.

"This is India's future. These children will tell their teachers that they are working at Google or doing their own business in the future. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen the foundation of these children," Manish Sisodia mentioned it to the news agency PTI.

Manish Sisodia advised the teachers to incorporate five minutes of mindfulness into their daily routines with students, telling how it would help ease the process of teaching other subjects.

He also had scientifically proven data. which he backed benefits of mindfulness, noting its power to calm the mind and foster deeper connections among individuals, as mentioned in the official statement.
