JoSAA Counselling 2024 schedule for IIT-JEE has been released; candidates can start prepaying the seat acceptance fee from June 9

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the counselling dates for 2024. The process will include five rounds, with an additional round exclusively for the NIT+ systems. The pre-payment for the JoSAA seat acceptance fee will begin on June 9, and the mock seat allotment results will be displayed on June 10.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 results on June 9. Shortlisted candidates must participate in the JoSAA 2024 counselling process to secure a seat at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs).

Eligible candidates must register and fill in their choices for institutes and courses, which will be allocated based on their rank. Previously, JoSAA counselling was jointly conducted by NIT Rourkela, but there has been no update on this from the authority this year. Students can register on the official website— josaa.nic.in.

2. Click on the registration link provided on the website

3. Enter your credentials, such as JEE Main application number and date of birth

4. Complete the choice-filling process

5. Review and lock your choices

The counselling process involves candidates locking in their choices, followed by the authority releasing two mock seat allocations before reconciling data, verifying, and validating the allocated seats.

Candidates have the option to withdraw or exit from the seat allocation process. Last year, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducted six rounds of counselling.
