JKBOSE Reschedules Board Class Exams to Accommodate Election and Testing Agency Schedules

In response to various factors including Lok Sabha Election 2024 and the National Testing Agency's Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024. This move aims to ensure the smooth conduct of exams and avoid clashes with important events.

Rescheduling in Hard and Soft Zone Areas

JKBOSE has rescheduled the annual regular exams of class 11th in soft zone areas and exams of classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in hard zone areas. This decision came after receiving directions from the Joint Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the Lok Sabha Election 2024 schedule. To accommodate this, the exams have been rearranged to prevent conflicts with election dates.

Reasons Behind Rescheduling

The rescheduling also considers the ongoing Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024 conducted by the National Testing Agency. Numerous student representations advocating for rescheduling due to these overlapping schedules prompted JKBOSE to make adjustments. This demonstrates a commitment to ensuring students have fair opportunities to excel in their examinations without unnecessary stress or inconvenience.

Revised Date Sheet and Exam Timings

The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT) has issued a revised date sheet for Middle Standard Examination for both soft and hard zones. The exams will commence from April 2 and conclude on April 15, with a preponed timing from 11.00 AM to 10.00 AM for the commencement of the exams. The rescheduled exams for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in hard zone areas will now take place in two sessions, morning and evening.

Advisory for Students

JKSCERT advises students to adhere to the revised schedule and attend their exams at the designated examination centers well in time. They must carry their admit cards for verification purposes. Additionally, examination complex heads are instructed to ensure strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
