India Post GDS merit list 2024 for Gramin Dak Sevak post to be released today

The India Post will announce the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) merit list 2024 on its official website today, August 17, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the merit list as soon as it's available on the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The merit list will be determined by the marks or grades from Class 10 examinations, aggregated to a percentage accurate to four decimal places.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Requirements:  Applicants must have passed the Class 10 (matriculation) of a recognised board

2. Age Qualification: Age limit may vary according to the category (GDS, BPM, ABPM) and will be specified in the official notification

3. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen

4. Residential Requirement: Priority will be given to candidates residing in areas with available vacancies

This recruitment aims to fill 44,228 vacancies across various postal circles. The salary will range accordingly from Rs 12,000 to Rs 16,000 per month, depending upon respective role and location. For the posts like GDS, BPM and APBM it includes additional benefits such as medical insurance allowance in accordance with government regulations.

Candidates who get selected from the merit list shall be required to undergo a physical verification process and the dates for this process will be declared soon via SMS to the registered mobile number.
