IIT Roorkee launches AI and Data Science course

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has initiated a Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in partnership with Jaro Education, an online platform that provides online courses in cooperation with Indian universities.

According to the official press release, "the Continuing Education Center at IIT Roorkee is offering this executive program, which aims to equip professionals with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence."

To be eligible for this course, applicants must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent of their total points and, ideally, one year of work experience. A CV, a statement of purpose, educational credentials, and personal information must be submitted as part of the selection process. The course runs for 6 to 8 months.

IIT Roorkee's Post Graduate Certificate Program in Applied Data Science & AI is intended to offer a thorough educational experience, including both the theoretical underpinnings and real-world applications in these two programs. According to the institute, the curriculum is revised frequently to reflect new innovations in the business, such generative artificial intelligence, so that participants are knowledgeable about the most recent developments.Each of the curriculum's multiple courses focuses on a distinct area of data science and artificial intelligence.

This new programme will cover fundamental concepts, techniques, and real-world applications of data science and AI Cloud analytics, Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, and other critical software tools and technologies will all be practically experienced by participants. IIT Roorkee faculty also hosts live, interactive online seminars. The curriculum offers learners an immersive learning experience through two optional campus immersions.
