IIT patna introduces BTech in Data Science and Artificial intelligence

The few universities in the nation that offer a BTech program in data science and artificial intelligence include IIT Patna and other such institutions. Remarkably, IIT Hyderabad and Guwahati also offer a BTech curriculum in AI and data science.

Course structure
This degree is an enhanced version of the BTech programme in computer science, specifically tailored for students who wish to get an understanding of the workings of algorithms and data structures. The undergraduate program lasts four years, full-time, and is broken up into eight semesters. During the first semester, candidates may also choose to take part in any other cultural events or the National Cadet Corps (NCC) or National Social Service (NSS).

Electrical sciences, engineering mechanics, computer architecture, machine learning, data science, artificial intelligence, operating systems, computer networks, big data analytics, and big data security are some of the topics that students will cover in this course. The JEE Advanced score will be used to determine admission to all three of IIT Patna's programmes. Candidates also need to have passed the class 12 (or equivalent) test from any approved state or central board.

Candidates from the general and OBC categories must pay a tuition fee of Rs 1 lakh per semester for the BTech programme. Students who fall under the SC/ST category do not need to pay any fees. The entire cost of tuition will be waived for the most economically disadvantaged pupils, defined as those whose household makes less than Rs 1 lakh annually. The remaining financially disadvantaged students will receive a two-thirds tuition fee waiver (family income between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh annually).

A profession in data science, machine learning, business intelligence, data analysis, consulting, and science can be pursued by graduates with degrees in artificial intelligence and data science.
