IIT Madras launches online certificate courses in Data Science & AI for students

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has announced online certificate courses in the field of Data Science and AI for students. The duration of the course is 8 weeks, there are two courses each offered at price of Rs 500, the target is at students studying in class 11 and 12. 
The courses will lay emphasis on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, also it will focus on electronic systems. It will provide students, an opportunity to begin with their tech-driven future.

The courses are only available to students from partnered schools. The students who are interested in enrolling themselves in the course are advised to consult their school authorities to check if their school is partnered with IIT Madras.

Eligibility criteria 
For the Data Science and AI programme, it is open to students studying in class 11 from any stream. Whereas the electronic system course is available to students currently studying mathematics and physics in class 11 are eligible.

Course Structure 
The programmes for school students provide a flexible and engaging learning environment. Each week, the students will get access to 1 hour lecture video, which will be divided into 30 minute segment .It will be uploaded every Monday. To add onto the interactive element, a live session will be organized once a month during weekends. Students shall receive online assignments every two weeks along with a 2-week deadline for submission. The Course will give an opportunity to learn from India’s top engineering minds. The registration for the courses has commenced from September 16,2024., While the deadline for partner schools’ registration in September 30,2024. The Programme will commence from October 21,2024. The last date to register is October 4,2024.
