IIT Madras Launches Advanced Electronics Training for Engineering & Science students

A new project to provide engineering and science students with an electronics background with industry-ready technical skills has been launched by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT M) Pravartak Technologies Foundation in collaboration with SWAYAM Plus. Interested students may register at iitmpravartak.org.in/advanced_electronic_mfg, the official website of IIT Madras Pravartak.

The official calendar states that the training session will take place from October 7–18. October 3 is the deadline for applications. Students that have a background in electronics and are engineering, diploma, science, or graduate students are eligible for this program.

With a focus on the semiconductor industry, the course will be delivered in a traditional classroom setting at IIT Madras. This programme will be taught at a fee of Rs 15,000 + GST. Students can stay and eat for a daily fee of Rs 650 at the IIT Madras campus. Accommodation requests can be submitted by October 3rd, at the latest.

Students who perform exceptionally well in this 11-day training session will receive Placement Assistance. The students will be chosen by Pravartak for the training program, which will provide them with skills that are ready for the workforce. The training course will be held at the campus of IIT Madras.

PCB assembly, solder paste basics, stencil basics, solder paste printing, PCBA pick and place systems, comprehension of SMT reflow soldering, PCBA inspection systems, Overview of power electronic components, DC to DC power converters, AC to DC power converters, DC to AC inverters, PWM basics, embedded system design with STM 32 microcontroller, configuring GPIO ports, PWM generation, ADC and DAC interface, LCD display interface, servo and stepper motor interface using STM 32 are among the topics covered in the course.
