The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is all set to launch an exclusive Master of Science (Research) programme in ‘Healthcare Technology’. The deadline for applying for admissions is October 25, 2024.The candidates who are interested can applying can do so, on the official website of IIT Delhi- ecampus.iitd.ac.in/PGADM/login.

The programme is commencing from January 2025.It is specifically curated for medical and allied clinical professionals, integrating the principles of medicine with cutting-edge engineering fields to foster deep-tech innovations in healthcare.  

One of the key aspects of the programme is, its flexibility. It allows medical professionals to continue their clinical practice while pursuing their studies. It will ensure that practitioners can apply their learning directly to clinical work, it will enhance patient care with innovative solutions.

The programme is curated with core subjects and laboratory courses to impart skills needed by the Healthcare industry. Along with, training to take ups scientific research for higher studies or industry and clinical laboratories will be offered too. The students who enroll in the programme will also be supported by high-value fellowships and remuneration which can be comparable to salaries and stipend available for medical and allied discipline graduates at the entry-level positions.

Moreover, the programme will also offer a seamless transition to pursue PhD at IIT Delhi. The pathway underscored the programme’s commitment to boost long-term research and innovations in biomedical field.

An official released from IIT Delhi stated that, the programme is curated boost critical thinking, problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of research methodologies. It shall ensure that the graduates are equipped to tackle complex challenges in the field. The programme will lay emphasis on entrepreneurship skill development. The medical graduates will be intellectually given insights to begin with their entrepreneurial journey.
