IIT Bombay: 18-Month AI and Data Science Programme introduced

The Executive Post-Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, provided by the Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Science (C-MinDS), has arrived at IIT Bombay. January 2025 is the planned start date for this 18-month online course. Great Learning, an ed-tech business for professional training and higher education, collaborated with faculty from IIT Bombay to build it.

A recognized four-year undergraduate degree or a three-year degree combined with at least one year of work experience is required for eligibility. Those pursuing postgraduate degrees and doctorates who possess a basic understanding of mathematics and statistics at the undergraduate level are also eligible to apply.

The programme covers important topics in AI, machine learning, and data science and is intended for professionals in their early to mid-career stages. To improve student's readiness for the workforce, the curriculum combines electives with foundational courses in machine learning, programming for machine learning, statistical foundations, deep learning, generative AI, and AI-ML in Practice.

The Participants will be obtaining hands-on knowledge with Python, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Hugging Face, Docker, Kubernetes, and PyTorch, supported by the academic resources of IIT Bombay.

A key step in the Institute's dedication to providing cutting-edge instruction has been taken with the introduction of the Executive Post-Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science by C-MInDS. This program will educate people and foster innovators by providing a combination of theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, stated that this will enable professionals in India to compete globally while making a meaningful contribution to local innovations.
