IIM Ahmedabad Announces Hybrid Placement for PGP Programme

The Indian Institute of Management- Ahmedabad (IIM-A) in November will be commencing the placement in hybrid mode for the PGP programme. Depending on their convenience, the choice is made to allow organizations to visit the campus or complete the process online. After Cluster 3, the institute will, if required, use a rolling process.

IIM Ahmedabad's PGP-FABM program's Summer Internship Recruitment Process 2024–25 is set for November 12 and will proceed according to the same timetable as the PGP program.

This is the schedule for that same event:
Cluster 1 on November 12
Cluster 2 on November 15
Cluster 3 on November 18

In the meantime, the Global IIM Alumni Network has long demanded that the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) establish reservation in PhD admissions starting in 2025.

Indian Institute of Management- Ahmedabad (IIMA) announced this weekend that "Government of India guidelines for reservation are followed during admission" under a section in the online applications for PhD programs. The deadline for online applications is January 20. The application period began on September 19.

IIMA was the only one left out of the 20 IIMs to apply the reservation. In 2021, Anil Wagde, a member of the Global IIM Alumni Network, petitioned the Gujarat High Court to have IIMA's PhD programs be reserved.

By using a hybrid placement approach, IIM Ahmedabad offers recruiters and students flexibility and facilitates a smooth on-campus or online experience. This approach is reflected in the PGP and PGP-FABM programme's planned placement schedule. The institute has also responded to long-standing calls for inclusivity in the admissions process by implementing reservation in its PhD admissions in accordance with Government of India norms, putting it on par with other IIMs. Applications for PhD programs must be submitted by January 20, 2025.
