Delhi University enrolled over 65,000 students in round 1, check details here
Since August 20, 2024, around 19,000 students have accepted the assigned college and course combination that the university has been offering. A total of 65,920 students have confirmed their enrollment in the first round of DU's undergraduate admissions, an official statement said.
The deadline for online payment of fees to secure admission in the first round of undergraduate admissions at Delhi University (DU) has been extended till Wednesday midnight. Previously, that day's deadline was set at 4:59 p.m.
In the first round, 97,387 students were given admission to the 71,600 undergraduate seats at the DU.
The college and course combination that the university assigned through its Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) portal was accepted by 83,678 students.46,171 students had confirmed their enrollment by paying the fees by Tuesday at 5 p.m.17,868 students have "freezed" their course and college combinations thus far, a sign that they are needing more time to make their selections.
Additionally, 42,668 students have chosen to upgrade—nearly double that of on Tuesday at 27,613 students, meaning they have applied to switch to a different college and course of their choice that has been assigned by the university.
In the first round of candidates, the institutions will be posting a list of vacant seats on the candidate dashboard on August 22. With this, the university's second round of the CSAS for the academic session 2024-25 will be started.
Students will get the chance to rearrange their college and course combinations according to higher preferences during this step. This modification window will open on August 22 at 5 p.m., immediately following the announcement of the open seats, and run through August 23 at 4:59 p.m.
The deadline to make online payments and secure admissions in the second round is August 30 till 4:59 pm.
