According to the notice, no student shall be denied once they are allocated to a school as per the Non-Plan Admission process, excluding in case of document discrepancies. Further, the children till class 8 permitted admission throughout the academic session in age-appropriate classes, under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

The notice states that the students shall not be denied admissions solely just because they do not have Aadhaar card or a bank account. It also emphasizes that the admissions for students allotted to schools in earlier Non-Plan admission cycles shall be completed by September 16, 2024.

Students who have passed their previous class from a recognised school or board in the 2023-24 academic year will be exempt from the age-appropriate admission criteria. Additionally, the Department of Education (DoE) has stressed that mid-term transfers should be avoided, except in genuine cases where approval may be granted by the Zonal or District Grievance Redressal Committee.

The Ministry of Education has declared the extension of the deadline for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the academic session 2024-25. Students shall apply for this scheme through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) UNTIL September 30, 2025 as mentioned in the official notice. To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must have their eighth-grade pass certificate with the minimum score.
