Clear MHT-CET exam procedure; Parent and student inquiries addressed

Maharashtra has a new, fair system for college admissions that uses computers. All concerns about the MHT-CET 2024 exams have been addressed.

Exam registration totaled 6,75,377, comprising 3,30,988 male, 3,94,033 female, and 31 transgender candidates. Sardesai emphasised that there was no negative grading in the tests, and that the percentile technique was used to determine the results rather than grace marks.

 Compiling Results and Raising Objections

Revisions to the response sheets were made after subject matter experts provided input. To ensure fairness, marks were declared using a session-wise percentile method. In a single session, candidates with identical raw scores were assigned to the same percentile. Sardesai explained that all objections were investigated and handled, hence any differences in the marks according to the answer sheets were erroneous.

Parents and candidates might register concerns to questions or answers online through the CET cell. Experts in the field examined these arguments, and the answer sheets were updated as needed. After that, the CET cell's website released the revised answer sheets.

 MHT-CET 2024 Settlement Procedure

Sardesai restated that a predetermined algorithm was used to determine the exam results, which were reported in session-wise percentiles. Exams are administered in separate batches, but only one merit list is released. He allayed worries regarding distinct question papers for every batch by clarifying that the outcomes of every session were determined impartially and independently.

The process for calculating the results was published on the CET cell website in April 2024, a long time before the tests. The CET cell received applications from about 200 candidates and their parents; all of these were checked through and resolved. In addition, 54 applicants had their online application fees refunded once their objections were approved.

In conclusion, Sardesai reaffirmed that, as has been the practice since 2018-19, the results are announced batch-by-batch to guarantee that every candidate has an equal chance to succeed in each session.
