In the upcoming year, when the LOC is filled, the Board has decided not to register new students. Upon submitting their LOCs, certain schools have been observed to notify the CBSE that the following reasons account for the small number of students that were not enrolled the previous year:
- The student was not well and hospitalized.
- The pupil was left behind by the clerk in error.
- Technical error
- Name was removed
- The student was absent from the station, etc.

Such errors are not anticipated of the schools, and they will be dealt with severely. Therefore, schools are required to register every student during registration, according to the official CBSE notice.

The Board also reminded schools of the examination bylaws, which stipulate that in order for students to be qualified for board exams in 2025, they must attend 75% of the classes. Additionally, according to the CBSE notification, the Board only grants a 25% relaxation in extreme circumstances, such as medical emergency, participation in national or international sporting competitions, or other grave causes, as long as the required paperwork is filed.

Schools have been given instructions by the Board to notify students as such. "Schools need to have correct attendance records and monitor them on a regular basis. According to the official notification, attendance records must be updated on a daily basis, signed by the class teacher and the appropriate school administration, and easily accessible for CBSE inspection.

Furthermore, the CBSE notice disclosed that the Board can carry out ad hoc inspections to confirm student attendance records. During these inspections, the school may be subject to severe consequences, such as disaffiliation, if it is discovered that the records are lacking or that it is obvious that pupils have not been attending on a regular basis. The pupils might not be allowed to take the board exams.
