The Central Board of Secondary Education is all set to conduct virtual conclave to empower school counsellors and wellness staff. The conclave is scheduled to be organized on September 11,2024, today. The aim of the workshop is amplifying the skills of the school counsellors. The conclave was scheduled from 3:00PM to 4:00PM. It was a virtual event and can be accessed through the mentioned link.

The principals and heads of CBSSE-affiliated schools were encouraged to make sure to have an active participation from their counsellors, wellness teachers and other staff members as well. The conclave had first-come, first-served basis, which means only the first 1000 participants were able to join the meeting.

The programme aimed to align with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.While focusing on equipping counsellors with the skills required to effectively address the emotional, psychosocial and career guidance needs of students. The initiative emphasised on the ongoing professional development, fostering a positive school environment and sharing the best practices all leading to student’s overall well-being.

Moreover, it provided counsellor a platform to discuss, share insights. The programme plays a crucial role in mental health education. It aims to promote a greater and deeper understanding of mental health support amongst educators and other stakeholders.

CBSE has been organizing a series of one-day Capacity Building programmes. In cities like, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Chennai. The duration of these programmes is from July to September 2024.

The sessions’ goal to upskill counsellors, teachers and wellness teachers and school leaders as well. Through the process of collaborative learning, and following a hub-spoke model. CBSE.
