By July 31, 2024, schools that are associated with the CBSE must log into the NIOS portal and give their approval for the public test to be conducted.

The notification states: "Your assistance will not only help NIOS in holding public examination of the candidates of the most disadvantaged group of society but also help CBSE in compliance with the directions of Ministry of Education, Govt, of India."

The first week of October 2024 is when the NIOS public examination for secondary and senior secondary courses is expected to start.

BI-Annual NIOS Exams:

Held in April-May and October-November of each year, the public examinations are administered by the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. Secondary (Class 10), senior secondary (Class 12), and several vocational courses are all covered in these tests.

The official announcement highlights how crucial it is for schools associated with the CBSE to cooperate, claiming that doing so enables NIOS to use their facilities and services for the exams. Exams for students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, must be facilitated by this cooperation if they are to have the chance to finish their study.

Concerning NIOS

At the secondary and senior secondary levels, NIOS provides a range of courses focused on community service, life enrichment, and careers in addition to general and academic courses.

Furthermore, it offers courses at the elementary school level through its Open Basic Education Programs (OBE).
