BITS Design School Announces Admission Process for 2025-26 session

The second cohort of the four-year residential Bachelor of Design (Honors) program at BITS Design School (BITSDES) is currently accepting applications. You can apply until January 31st, 2025, for admission to the academic term. For that, there is a 2000 rupee application fee.

The BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT), UCEED, or NID-DAT Prelims scores are required for interested students. Candidates must fill out an application in order to be considered for the BITS admission exam. The dates of the admission exam are March 31 to April 5.

BITSDAT 2025: Entrance schedule
After a round of portfolio examination is completed, which is scheduled to take place between April 21 and April 28, the results will be made public on April 14. Online interviews for the shortlisted candidates will take place between May 2 and May 12 to finalize the admissions process.

Fee structure
The initial year costs for the first year are Rs 10 lakh, comprising of Rs 7 lakh for tuition and Rs 3 lakh for living. When accepting the offer of admission for the academic year 2024–2025—a one-time admission fee of Rs 70,000 must be paid. An increase of up to 8% per year is possible for these fees.

As for withdrawals and refunds, candidates are recommended to consult BITS's refund policy. Along with the first year's tuition, a refundable security deposit of Rs 20,000 will be collected; this money will be returned following the students' convocation. According to the news announcement, the curriculum includes five pathways: Digital Product Design (UX/UI), Experience Design, Visual Design, Design Research and Insights, and Physical Product Design. All of these pathways are based on an overall humanity-centered design approach.
