The Assam Group 3 recruitment exam concludes successfully and smoothly.
On September 15,2024, Sunday the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) for filling the vacant group III posts is the government of state. It was successfully and smoothly conducted.
The conduction was under stringent security measures and a state-wide internet suspension. The suspension lasted for three and half hours. The Authorities reported no untoward incident over centres. There were around 2,305 examination centres statewide.
The Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma showed his gratitude to the officials for ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.
In a post tweeted on X, he assured the people that transparency would be maintained through the procedure of recruitment. Around 11.23 lakh candidates were eligible to sit for the exam. Among them, the 429 centres were marked as sensitive due to their malpractice history.
Special trains were organized by the Northeast Frontier Railways to facilitate candidate participation, and security forces were deployed outside exam centres to prevent disruptions.
Few Days back, On September12, taking steps toward fairness and transparency in examination, the Assam Government had introduced the Assam Public Examination. They are the measures for prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment Act 2024. The effort came in response to promote transparency and fairness in public recruitment exams. The law imposes strict penalties, which includes imprisonment up to 10 years and fines up to Rs 10 crore for malpractice during recruitment tests. The offenders might also be barred from future exams and underscoring the state's commitment to merit-based recruitment.
Minister of Social Justice Pijush Hazarika announced on Wednesday, September 11,2024. He shared the update on X, a microblogging platform. In his post, Hazarika wrote, “In order to make upcoming recruitment exams transparent, the Govt of Assam, under the leadership of HCM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has enacted the Assam Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2024.”
