All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Communication Academy (NCA). MoU aims to advance technical education in the fields of telecom and information communication technologies (ICT)
The MoU was finalized at the AICTE, headquarters in New Delhi by the member secretary of AICTE, Prof. Rajive Kumar, and the Director General of NCA, Deb Kumar Chakrabarti. It was under the presence of the AICTE chairman, Prof.T.G. Sitharam. The goal of the MoU is to bring advancement in the telecom industry. The partnership emphasizes modernizing the present model of curriculum for Diploma and Undergraduates.
The focus is to commence with minor degrees in upcoming fields such as 5G/6G, Quantum communications and cyber security, and telecom.
According to the press release, AICTE and NCA will collaborate to upgrade the current model curriculum for the minor degree. While addressing the gathering, Prof. Rajive Kumar stated” The partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing the quality of technical education in India, aligning it with the needs of the industry, and preparing students for future technological advancements.” AICTE will provide the creation of relevant education materials for 5G/6G, Quantum Communications, cyber security, and telecom.
While the NCA will organize training sessions on the highlighted technologies for the faculty and the AICTE-approved institutions. Along with this, it will explore internship opportunities for engineering students. As mentioned by Deb Kumar Chakrabarti, the director general of NCA.AICTE and NCA come together to advance technical education in telecom and information communication technologies(ICT) The aim is to incorporate technological advances with education.
