The UGC NET 2024 exam was cancelled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) one day after it was administered due to fears that the "integrity of the examination may have been compromised." There will be another opportunity to take the UGC NET exam between August 21 and September 4.
The dates for the June 2024 re-examination of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) are set for August 21 to September 4. The UGC NET re-examination will now be administered by the NTA using a computer-based test (CBT) format, which is a substantial change from the pen-and-paper method that was first utilised for the exam in June.
On June 18, the UGC NET was cancelled one day after it was scheduled. There were worries that the "integrity of the examination might have been compromised," which led to the cancellation.
A total of 11,21,225 applicants took the UGC NET June 2024 exam, which was administered across 1,205 exam centres in 317 locations across the country. 59 of them identified as third gender, 4,85,579 as male, and 6,35,587 as female. In contrast, there were 9,45,872 registered applicants for the December 2023 UGC NET Exam.
The admission cards for the UGC NET 2024 re-exam will shortly be available.
Step 1: Visit the UGC NET exam online or the National Testing Agency's (NTA) official website.
Step 2: On the home screen or within the notifications area, look for the link labelled "Admit Card" or "Download Admit Card."
Step 3: Usually, you'll need to provide your application number, birthdate, and other necessary information to log in.
Step 4: Once you have successfully logged in, the screen will show your admit card.
Step 5: Pay close attention to every detail listed on the admit card. If everything checks out, print the admission card by downloading it and filling it out. On the day of the exam, make sure you bring this printout and a legitimate photo ID to the testing location.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the dates for the UGC NET re-examination as well as the timetable for other important exams.
The NCET exam is scheduled for July 10 and the CSIR-UGC joint NET examination on July 25 to 27.
