Admissions to kick-start from June 3 for SOL DU

Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL) has revealed the key details for its 2024-25 admissions. Starting June 3, 2024, the admission process for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be available on the official website, https://sol.du.ac.in/. Interested students are advised to visit the site for updates and information.

A major update is that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will not be required for undergraduate admissions at SOL. However, CUET scores will be necessary for postgraduate courses, except for MBA and Library Sciences. This move aims to simplify the admission process for students.

The online admission process opens on June 3, 2024. The final admission deadline will be set by the University Grants Commission-Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB) and Delhi University (DU).

Financial Assistance Programs

SOL supports various student groups through several financial schemes. The beneficiaries include:

- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

- Orphans (2 seats per program, up to 8 seats total)

- Armed forces and Central police personnel

- Transgender individuals

- SOL/University employees and their wards

- Meritorious female students with a CGPA of 8.5 and above

- Economically weaker sections

Students who enroll in regular mode by the admission deadline are eligible for a full fee waiver. Additionally, a provisional admission certificate can be obtained for Rs 500 upon request.
