The Centre’s seven-member high-level committee, established to supervise transparency and review the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) is looking forward to conducting a meeting today, June 24 as per ANI. the Education Minister on Saturday declared the formation of the committee of experts that will share their suggestions and recommendations regarding the examination process, improvement in data security protocols, and functioning of the NTA.

The seven-member committee is led by the former ISRO chairperson K Radhakrishnan, who will submit the report to the ministry in the next two months. 

As per reports by ANI, the ministry said “ To ensure transparent, smooth, and fair conduct of examinations through the National Testing Agency, the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, constituted a High-Level Committee of Experts to make recommendations on reforming the examination process, improving data security protocols, and the structure and functioning of the NTA."

Amid the ongoing NEET UG scandal the NTA has faced criticism over supposed contortions in the examination. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a case for irregularities in the exam and formed special teams to examine the matter. 

In the meantime, NTA has ensured that its website and all its web portals are fully secure and dismissed the allegations of the portals being compromised.
