82 lakh teachers transferred for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan
Under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Program, the government sanctioned 82 Lakh teachers' posts to various states and union territories.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is implemented as a centrally sponsored scheme (2000-01) in partnership with the state government and UT administration for elementary education across the country. SSA provides a variety of interventions including opening new schools, and classrooms, drinking water provision for teachers and students providing textbooks and improving teaching standards, and providing regular training for teachers who are newly recruited training will be provided for untrained teachers for professional qualifications.
The center sanctioned for Rs 6,300 crore project for teachers to develop skills regarding the latest education system.
