Exam Pattern

Four tiers/stages make up the SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) test structure. The typical exam format for each tier is as follows:

 

Tier 1: Initial Assessment

  • This test is computer-based online.

  • Typing tests, data input speed tests, etc. may be part of the skill exam.
  • Only the position of Assistant Section Officer in the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) is subject to the CPT. Document verification is done to verify the eligibility of the candidates.
