SSC- CHSL

SSC-CHSL is one of the competitive exams which stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Examination which is administered by the Staff Selection Commission of India.

 

It is an entrance exam for those candidates appearing for the exams of various ministries, departments and organizations of the Government of India. To secure a position in the SSC-CHSL examination, candidates must have a thorough knowledge of its structure, syllabus and preparation plans and approaches.

 

The SSC CHSL exam is conducted in three stages: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Level 1 is a computer-based exam consisting of objective multiple-choice questions. It assesses candidates' English proficiency, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude and general awareness. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes, with a total of 100 questions, each worth two points. 0.50 negative marks for each wrong answer.

 

After passing Level 1, candidates move on to Level 2, which is a descriptive essay. It evaluates the writing ability of the candidates in English or Hindi. This document requires applicants to submit an essay of 200-250 words and a letter or statement of approximately 150-200 words. The duration is 2 hours.

 

Level 3 is a proficiency/written test. Entry test is conducted for Data Entry Operator post while aptitude test is conducted for LDC, PA and SA posts. The final selection is based on the combined performance of the candidates in all three rounds. To prepare for the SSC CHSL exam, a candidate must know the syllabus. Candidates for the English section tests must understand grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing skills.

 

Aspirants should report Logical and Reasoning Questions, Maths Questions, Coding Test, Geometry, Algebra for General Intelligence. General information includes history, geography, science and current affairs related to static GK.

 

It is important for candidates to prepare a study plan and time for each subject. Regular practice with mock tests and previous year question papers can really help with good speed and accuracy. Reading newspapers and magazines and knowing the general information section is essential.
