Eligibility Criteria

It is utmost important for the candidates to fulfil all the requirements prescribed in the eligibity criteria before filling the application form.PAU CET exam. Cut Off

The cut off of PAU CET 2023 exam will be made available on the official website of PAU, shortly after the conclusion of the examination. After the announcement of the results, candidates can check the cut off released on the official website. The cut-off marks will be released in the form of a scorecard. It is advisable for the candidates to keep a copy of the scorecard for future reference. The cutt off will be released categorically and candidates will be able to review it and download PDFs from the official website. 

 


The cut off marks will be the minimum marks required to get admission into the desired program of the candidate. This differs program to program. The cut off marks are determined on the basis of category of the candidate, their performance in the exam, availability of seats in the college and more. The cut off release date of PAU CET 2023 is yet to be ananounced.

 


It is crucial for the candidates to stay updated about the release of cut off marks in order to get timely admission and counselling in their choice of college and course. The cut off marks will be decided by the authorities after the completion of the exam. Candidates who secure marks equal to or above the cut off marks will be eligible for admission.

Exam Pattern

The exam of PAU CET 2023 will be conducted in offline mode in English language. The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours. PAU CET 2023  is expected to be scheduled in the month of June 2023.

 

Structure of Question Papers:

  • The question paper will contain multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into 3 sections. 
  • Part I and II will contain a total of 66 questions of Physics and Chemstry.
  • Part III will be optional for PAU CET exam pattern 2023 and will either carry a total of 68 questions (Home Science/ Agriculture/ Biology) or 34 questions (Mathematics)
  • The exam will be of a total of 800 marks.

 

Marking Scheme:

  • In Part I and II, every correct answer will be awarded with 01 mark each.
  • In Part III, if there are 66 questions of Biology/ Agriculture/ Home Science then each question will be awarded with 01 mark each. 
  • In Part III, if there are 34 questions of Mathematics then each question will be awarded with 02 mark each. 
  • For 01 mark questions, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 and for every 2 mark question, there will be a negative marking of 01 mark. 
  • No marks will be given on unattempted questions.

Admit Card

All the PAU CET candidates will be given their respective Admit Cards before the examination. Seat Allotment

The PAU CET 2023 seat allotment result will be released on the official website after the announcement of results for the exam of PAU CET 2023. The result of seat allotment will be reseased at the end of every round of counselling. Depending on the availability of seats, the PAU CET 2023 counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds tentativey from July 2023. Candidates will be allocated seats in relevant courses in the university after the counselling of the eligible candidates. The allotment of seats will be based on several factors including,

 

  • Candidate's rank: The rank of the candidate obtained in the exam of PAU CET 2023.
  • Candidate's Category: The category of the candidate. Reservations are given to SC, ST and OBC.
