While the NMAT exam determines a candidate's admission eligibility, seat allocation is handled by the respective institutes based on their own admission criteria.

Following the completion of the NMAT exam, the participating institutes release their individual cutoff scores. Candidates who meet or exceed the cutoff are invited to participate in additional rounds of the admissions process, which include group discussions (GD), writing ability tests (WAT), and personal interviews (PI). The candidate's performance in these rounds, as well as other factors such as academic background, work experience, and overall profile, are used to make the final decision.

The seat allotment process varies among different institutes and is typically based on factors like the number of seats available, the candidate's performance in the selection rounds, and their preferences for specialization or program. Each institute has its own seat allocation methodology, which may include merit-based rankings and other applicable criteria.

Candidates should visit the official websites of the participating institutes to learn about their specific seat allotment process and criteria. The admission brochures or official announcements issued by the institutes typically include information on seat allocation, seat count, etc.
