The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) is a unique opportunity for young and dynamic individuals to contribute to skill development and economic growth. MGNF, a Certificate Programme in Public Policy and Management, is a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), implemented in conjunction with nine IIMs across India.

 

The 2021-23 MGNF edition will be rolled out nationwide, encompassing over 660 districts. Each participating IIM, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Jammu, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Ranchi, Udaipur, and Visakhapatnam, will host the program, with IIM Bangalore overseeing the common admission process.

This two-year blended program combines classroom learning at IIMs with mentorship during district immersions.

Participants get the opportunity to engage with local schemes and institutions, strengthening infrastructure, enhancing skill development, fostering market linkages, and driving growth.

 

Candidates selected for the 2021-23 cycle will receive full funding from MSDE. During the first year of the program, fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000, which increases to Rs. 60,000 per month in the second year, upon completion of the year one requirements.
