To get to where it is today—a holistic approach to life through meaningful education—the Udayanath Autonomous College of Science & Technology, At- Prachi Jnanapitha, Po- Adaspur, Dist- Cuttack, Odisha, has achieved remarkable advances. It is concealed deep within eastern Odisha. The institution's history illustrates the social, cultural, and heritage of delivering high-quality education to the general public in a rural area that is forward-thinking. It first appeared informally in 1982 under the roof of the neighboring Prachi Academy with arts at the upper secondary level under the name Prachi Mahavidyalaya. The college has links to the CHSE, Odisha, and UTKAL UNIVERSITY. It was added to sections 12 B and 2f of the UGC Act on December 17 and 22, 2003, respectively. Beginning on February 26, 2006, the college received B+ accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), earning 78.5% of the available points. In January 2009, the College was rightfully given the coveted title of AUTONOMY by the UGC. In the second round of accreditation in 2014, the college achieved a Grade B from NAAC. Autonomy status has been renewed by UGC till 2023. The grant of autonomy represents a crucial turning point in the glorious history of the organization.
