About Sri Balaji College of Education For Women

The Annai Meenakshi Educational and Charitable Trust created the Sri Balaji College of Education for Women to honour the memory of Thiru. E.M. Gopalakrishna Kone of Madurai, a benefactor who made substantial contributions to education. Thiru. Gopalakrishna Kone was instrumental in establishing the Sri Gopalakrishna High School and the E.M. Gopalakrishna Kone Yadava Women's College, both with a focus on educating everybody, particularly women. In addition to his educational initiatives, the founder also constructed a hospital and generously donated it to serve the underprivileged. This act of philanthropy reflects the founder's vision of creating a healthy and prosperous nation through the empowerment of women through education and access to good healthcare.
