Shivaji college is Located in West Delhi, it is a renowned college accredited with NAAC Grade A.Shivaji College was established in 1961 by Honourable Panjabrao Deshmukh, a renowned social activist, farmer leader and Union Agriculture Minister, with the sight of providing higher education to the students mainly in the rural area of Matiala.
In 1967, the Government of Delhi took over the Shivaji College and shifted it to Karampura. Then in 1976, shifted this college to where it is today that is Raja Garden.Shivaji College's locality offers convenient entrance to two nearest metro stations and a bus service, facilitating easy commute of students throughout the NCR.
Shivaji College offers various undergraduate courses in Science, Commerce and Humanities. It also offers self-financing in the Bachelor of Business Administration, three postgraduate courses and an additional German language.
Despite being situated in a crowded part of the city, the Shivaji College campus provide a peaceful and green environment. It has greenery all over the campus, lawns and well-kept fences. The pleasure of the university is the herb garden. Besides to the academic and administrative parts, the ten-hectare campus has a sports field and staff housing.
The college has senior faculties who oversee the Ph.D. Scholars enrolled in Delhi University and actively involved in major and minor research projects supported by UGC.
